The founder of Marokko Trekking was born in the Sahara in 1983 and grew up in the care of his nomadic Berber family, who still live in the desert.
Starting from his early childhood, he tended the goats with his brothers and sisters, then later helped his father, who worked as a camel herder, and with whom he learned to work with and care for these remarkable animals that still accompany him in his work today.
At 17 he started to guide tourists through the desert, aquiring the sizeable experience that now allows him to run his own business. This business in turn allows him to support his family financially.
Lahsen lives in Mhamid el-Ghizlane and Winterthur, Switzerland.

Marion Schwaiger, the partner of Marokko Trekking, is German and was born in Dachau in 1978.
More than 10 years ago she started trekking and hiking tours in the mountains of Austria, Switzerland and Germany. In October 2022 she fulfilled her dream and successfully completed her training as a hiking guide.
Her love for Morocco led her to emigrate and move to Marrakech.
In Germany, she worked as a fitness trainer and yoga teacher and can therefore incorporate her 20 years of experience into the yoga retreats.
